As Oregon begins to deeply feel the impact of this crisis, our firm is prepared to help protect the health of our clients, employees, and community, while continuing to provide the highest level of legal services to our clients that you all expect and deserve. During the emergency, the professionals associated with Mark C. Cogan P.C. Law Offices will continue to serve our clients, even though many of us will be working outside of our business premises.
Based on the CDC and Governor Brown’s recent Stay at Home, Save Lives order we will be enforcing all contact and meetings to be by phone, video, email, mail or text moving forward. For everyone’s safety, we are unable to allow scheduled or walk-in appointments. Since face-to-face appointments can be an important part of our attorney-client relationship, we are pleased to now offer video call appointments for all clients. It’s as simple as sending you an email with a link. The video appointments work very well for people who have a camera on their desktop or laptop. We can also share our computer screen to go over notes, documents, videos, photos, etc. Please advise us if you prefer video or telephone appointments, and we will happily accommodate.
As always, we are available by telephone for any questions or issues you may have. Excellent client communication continues to be extremely important, especially in these uncertain times and the difficulties facing us. However, we face these challenges together.
With email and mail, including overnight delivery, we can deliver most documents quickly and efficiently. Over these next 30 days and possibly beyond, we’re hoping to limit or avoid the need to come into the office to sign or drop off items.
We are prepared with the technology and ability to address your legal issues as those staff working remotely have been well-equipped and are ready and able to meet your needs. Certain essential staff will be working in the office. For new clients, our staff will set up a telephonic or video intake to determine your legal needs. Our attorneys are available to provide the best service you’ve come to expect. For our existing clients, we will continue to show the passion, commitment, communication and care you all deserve. We are here for you. This will not change.
The Cogan Law Office wishes to express our sympathies for all those who have been impacted by this outbreak. It is doubtful many of us will escape the impact of a friend, family, or community member contending with its effects. However, we understand that with difficult times come physical, mental and financial obstacles.
